I loved Runescape PvP when you had to catch a runner, or choose to eat or go for the KO. 1 mob should be a fight, 2 should be a challenge, 3+ should be inevitable death unless you're a God Gamer. I like having to focus and interrupt the healer, use magic against the mob with a shield, use a bow against the mage that rooted me. I didn't learn anything besides I'm untouchable, til I face a big bad. Ya it's fun running into a group of 30 mobs and decimating them occasionally, but it doesn't feel rewarding. Feels good to shut the brain off and craft some stuff, knowing you're working towards a goal. So, what do you guys like and dislike seeing in MMOs?įor likes, I really enjoy grindy skilling/crafting. But they still have alot of flaws, and as they evolve I personally see more problems, not less. It's my favorite genre, easily my most played. I've been thinking alot about the state of MMOs.
